Most aloe bars out there are not organic because aloe vera is perishable. So aloe vera gel in a bottle has a non-organic preservative in it, regardless of what the label tells you. There is only one way to keep it organic and stable in skin care products, and that is to dehydrate it. It retains all of it’s medicinal properties but is quite expensive. That is unless you grow your own organic aloe vera like I do. 🙂
So what’s in it? Well, there’s aloe of course, lemon essential oil, raw honey, and French green clay, all blended into an organic glycerin soap base to make this stunning bar.
-Organic dehydrated aloe vera has many benefits to the skin, making this a perfect bar for treating dry flaky skin, eczema, psoriasis, and insect bites. You can see bits of it suspended throughout the bar.
-French green clay is mined from naturally occurring deposits in France. It is characterized for its incredibly fine, soft texture and pale green color. Renowned for its many health and skincare benefits, French green clay contains high amounts of minerals including mineral oxides, magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, manganese, phosphorous, silicon, copper, and selenium. No wonder French green clay is popular ingredient in many skincare products.
-Organic lemon essential oil does a lot more than just smell good. It provides antiseptic, astringent, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifying effects.
-Organic raw honey adds a natural antibacterial and adds to the sweet scent.
